From Te Anau, you’ll fly towards the Tasman Ocean, then head south along the coastline over Doubtful, Dusky and Chalky Sounds.

After a remote landing, wrap yourself in Fiordland’s wilderness as you explore a remote location on foot with our knowledgeable guide. From there, you’ll head to the only privately-owned lodge in Fiordland for some locally sourced food and refreshments. Then, your flight continues. Remote landings throughout the day add a whole new dimension to your Fiordland experience: you’ll be amazed at the vastness of the landscape on offer.

Arrive at Te Anau

Arrive at the Te Anau Airport [42 Aviation Drive] 15 minutes before your flight takes place.

Pre-flight orientation & safety briefing

Complete a passenger information form if required, then relax and enjoy the stunning views while your pilot readies the aircraft. You will undergo your safety briefing before boarding the helicopter.

Pre-takeoff

Time to get in the heli. Your pilot and ground crew will ensure that you are comfortable, buckled in, and have your headset on and ready to go.

Lift-off

The heli takes off, and you’re airborne. Enjoy unmatched views as your pilot flies towards the Tasman Ocean, sharing the stories and history of the region as you go. Head down the coast towards Doubtful, Dusky and Chalky Sounds, exploring the Preservation Inlet and Puysegur Point from the air.

Guided walk

Touching down at a remote location, enjoy a walk through the stunning Fiordland wilderness. Your local guide will share the stories of your surroundings as you go.

Lunch with a view

After your walk, it’s time to eat. Enjoy fresh, locally sourced food and refreshments from the only privately owned lodge in Fiordland.

Back to the helicopter

Once you’ve eaten, your aerial exploration continues. Experience multiple remote landings throughout the day before flying back to Te Anau for a 4pm finish.
