Arrive at the Te Anau Airport [42 Aviation Drive] 15 minutes before your flight.

Preflight Check and Orientation


Pre-flight orientation & safety briefing

Complete a passenger information form if required, then relax and enjoy the stunning views while your pilot readies the aircraft. You will undergo your safety briefing before boarding the helicopter.

Time to get in the heli. Your pilot and ground crew will ensure that you are comfortable, buckled in, and have your headset on and ready to go.

The heli takes off, and you’re airborne. Take in the sights of the beautiful Lake Manapouri as your pilot flies towards Doubtful Sound, sharing the stories and history of the region as you fly.

Remote landing

Your pilot chooses a secluded spot in Doubtful Sound to land. They’ll let you out among the stunning landscapes, where you’ll be immersed in nature’s incredible views. Be sure to snap some photos.

Back to the helicopter

Loaded back in the helicopter, you’ll again experience stunning Fiordland views as you head back to the Te Anau Airport.
