Arrive at Te Anau

Arrive at the Te Anau Airport [42 Aviation Drive] 15 minutes before your flight.

Pre-flight orientation & safety briefing

Complete a passenger information form if required, then relax and enjoy the stunning views while your pilot readies the aircraft. You will undergo your safety briefing before boarding the helicopter.

Pre-takeoff

Time to get in the heli. Your pilot and ground crew will ensure that you are comfortable, buckled in, and have your headset on and ready to go.

Lift-off

The heli takes off, and you’re airborne. Take in the sights of the beautiful Lake Manapouri as your pilot weaves towards the Kepler Mountain Range, sharing the stories and history of the region as you fly.

Remote landing

Your pilot chooses a secluded spot amongst the peaks to land. They’ll let you out into the remote Fiordland wilderness, where you’ll be immersed in nature’s incredible views. Be sure to snap some photos.

Back to the helicopter

Loaded back in the aircraft, you’ll again explore the Fiordland National Park by helicopter as you head back to the Te Anau Airport.
